Internal candidates will be considered for candidacy until March 29, 2024. Internal candidates should indicate their interest in consideration in the form of a letter of intent to Human Resources. The letter should highlight what they feel are the key points of the position and their strengths that can be applied to the needs of the role.

External candidates will be considered after March 29, 2024.

Essential Functions

·        Manage a team of sales professionals with actionable expectations of sales performance.

·        Improve the individual sales rep performance and overall team productivity. Perform account reviews as needed (minimum quarterly). Prepare relevant and thorough, as well as timely performance reviews.

·        Continuously improve the quality of the sales force by finding and developing superior sales representatives incoordination with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.

·        Improve the quality and profitability of accounts by making joint sales calls with sales representatives and coaching them as appropriate. Meet principals at key accounts assigned to sales reps.

·        Focus on achieving sales and margin goals for all assigned sales reps and ensure that sales expenses stay within budget.

·        Aggressively pursue new business development activities.

Other Responsibilities

·        Oversee training and account assignments for new hires.  

·        Assist in recruitment of new sales team members as necessary.

·        Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service if necessary.

·        Serve as the face of the organization to external partners in a professional manner.

·        Work with the credit professionals to ensure accounts receivable are kept current.

·        Ensure adoption and improved usage of company technology tools by the sales team. Fulfill reporting and administrative duties as required.

·        May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREDSKILLS

·        Require Bachelor's College degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field, in addition to equivalent work experience.

·        At least 5 years successful sales experience and preferably 3 years successful sales management experience, preferably in the industrial distribution industry.

·        Must have thorough understanding of the packaging, corrugated, or other adjacent industry with in-depth knowledge of packaging products and sources.

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.

·        Ability to be flexible as priorities change.

·        Good interpersonal, team building, and conflict management skills are essential.

·        Strong computer skills required.

·        Must have strong leadership and management skills.

Physical Requirements

·        A portion of the incumbent's job responsibilities will require PC work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for frequent periods of time.

·        The incumbent is required to understand and communicate about box construction and to discuss identify problems and solutions.

·        The position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk up and down stairs frequently in the execution of normal business.

·        The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Salary range: $150,000-$180,000 annually
