Operations and Shipping Scheduler

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels.
  2. Coordinate with production teams to prioritize production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
  3. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies to ensure adequate stock levels for production and shipping.
  4. Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to procure raw materials and packaging supplies in a timely manner.
  5. Plan and schedule shipping activities, including arranging transportation, notifying customers of deliveries, making delivery appointments, and coordinating with freight carriers.
  6. Track and manage shipment schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines and optimize shipping costs.
  7. Communicate regularly with sales, production, and customer service teams to provide updates on order status, shipping schedules, and any potential delays.
  8. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in production scheduling and shipping operations.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all aspects of production scheduling and shipping activities.
  10. Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and shipping activities using appropriate software systems.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in production scheduling, inventory management, or shipping logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to learn and optimize our manufacturing equipment and delivery capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with inventory management or ERP software systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to manufacturing and shipping operations is desirable.
